Born from the love of Sport, Sunday Stripes is a contemporary clothing label inspired by vintage athletic gear. Our interpretation borrows from fascinating subcultures and veers away from experiencing it in its utilitarian aspect and looks to it as a daily uniform.
The ubiquitous jersey is our object of affection, steeped in history, a totem of culture beyond the field. The endeavor is to not only create a product but also to offer study material – to explore how shapes, silhouettes and patterns of the sporting world hold a timeless appeal. We choose to amalgamate the effortlessness of a good T-shirt with the talking-points of an elegant closet staple. The result is bold colour pairings, nostalgic graphics and breathable fabrics.
Through archival research and storytelling, we aim to revisit an antiquated era of sportswear. Our iteration is gender-agnostic that trades trend for texture, open to be disrupted, subverted and integrated into your existing wardrobe.
