The black and white striped kit first appeared on football kits in Britain during the early years of the organized football league. The ready availability of monochromatic fabric at the local textile mills coupled with the symbolic nature of black and white referencing the coal mine industry and early community club colours made these stripes rooted in identity in small working class industrial British towns. We've replaced the quintessential vertical stripes by slim horizontal ones in black and oat. A Dorito collar, a pop of cherry red on the collar flaps and cuffs, and an embroidered crest synonymous with vintage sports attire.
